The search is on again for Australia’s greatest innovators; people who have created successful products or services from brilliant engineering ideas or inventions.

Nominations are being sought for the Innovation Heroes Award, bestowed each year by Sydney University’s Warren Centre for Advanced Engineering.

With this award, we aim to seek out, encourage and reward innovators in the engineering/technology space.  The Innovation Heroes Award recognizes innovations that were conceived and developed in Australia by Australian individuals and companies, and that have been profitably commercialised or otherwise delivered real value.  It is open to individuals and teams, in small and large companies.

Your assistance is sought to identify those individuals in the Australian community worthy of recognition.

Please send your suggestions to Warren Centre board member Frank Barr-David at This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it (mailto: This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it ).

For more information on the Innovation Heroes Awards, including past awardees, please click go to http://www.warren.usyd.edu.au/projects.htm and then select Innovation Heroes Award from the menu on the left of the screen.  Application forms are at this site, if you wish to complete them.  This will help, as any additional information enables us to better evaluate the nominated people.
