Neighbourhood environment improvement plans |
|
EPA Victoria coordinate an environmental improvement program to help address environmental issues in local neighbourhoods. A neighbourhood environment improvement plan (NEIP) is a plan developed by a local community to address environmental issues in their neighbourhood. It is an action plan designed to tackle complex environmental issues that are important to the health, safety and enjoyment of local areas, by the people who live, work and play there. NEIPs are broad reaching and can be adapted to a range of environmental issues that different neighbourhoods and communities face. They are designed to build on and support other efforts to protect Victoria's environment and achieve sustainability. Currently EPA is reviewing these initial NEIP programs and exploring many options for collaborative action around environmental issues into the future. No new Neighbourhood Environment Improvement Plans will be developed until this review is complete.
